Old Datça for everyone

Accessibility

We design this portal so that everyone can explore the village. Honest information about our digital accessibility features and the village's physical conditions is on this page.

Digital accessibility

Keyboard navigation

The whole site can be browsed with a keyboard; every page starts with a "skip to content" link, and the search box is fully keyboard-operable.

Readability and contrast

Colour contrast and heading hierarchy follow accessibility guidelines; our pages have been tested with full scores in independent accessibility audits.

Screen reader support

Images carry alternative text, form fields are labelled, and interactive elements use ARIA attributes.

Text alternative to audio

The full text of every audio-tour narration is shown on screen; on devices that cannot play audio, the experience continues in text.

Motion sensitivity

If "reduce motion" is enabled in your operating system, animations and camera flights automatically calm down.

Physical accessibility in the village

Old Datça's historic fabric is made of narrow stone lanes; the ground is uneven and sloped in places. Some lanes can be challenging for wheelchair and pushchair users.

When planning your visit, we recommend consulting the Datça Tourism Information Office about specific access requirements; the toilet and fountain layer on our map also helps along the way.
